Can I supply cover artwork that is larger than the pages so it wraps around a hard cover? No, and you do not need to. Supply the cover at exactly the same finished size as the interior pages. For an A5 planner, that is 148 × 210 mm, not a larger size such as 155 × 217 mm.
Valenna prints the cover design directly onto the cover board, which is cut to the finished size. The cover is not a printed sheet that is glued onto a grey chipboard base and wrapped around its edges. Because nothing is wrapped, there is no overhang and no wrap allowance to design for.
Many print shops do work that way. They print onto vinyl or sticker paper, glue it to grey chipboard and wrap the edges, so they ask for a cover that is bigger than the page. Valenna does not, so an oversized cover file would not match the size that is being printed.

The inside of the cover is plain white unless you choose double-sided cover printing. If you do, page 2 of your PDF prints on the back of the front cover. See Single-Sided vs. Double-Sided Cover Printing.
Wrapped and case-bound cover styles are not currently offered. Valenna is working on them, but a style that is not shown on the product page is not yet available.
