You can print your own custom notebook, journal, planner or workbook at Valenna: A5 or A4, wire-bound, with your own artwork on the covers and on every interior page. There is no minimum order, so you can print one copy to test a design or hundreds for a team, a school or your own stationery brand. Prices start from R28.80 and fall automatically as your quantity grows.

The price depends on the physical specification (size, cover, paper, page count and finish), not on what you call the book. Choose A5 for notebooks that travel: meetings, classrooms, events and everyday carry. Choose A4 when you need room for diagrams, worksheets, training exercises or detailed planning. Build your PDF at exactly the size you order, because we print at the size supplied and do not resize layouts.

The cover is printed directly onto the white cover stock and cut to size, which is why no bleed is needed (see the file section below). Read more in cover boards compared.
By default only the outside of the front cover is printed and page 2 of your PDF stays blank. Choose double-sided cover printing (R10 extra) and your design on page 2 prints on the inside of the front cover. The back cover is a separate page at the end of your file and prints either way. Choose a glossy or matte finish. For extra resistance to scratching, handling and fading, add matte or glossy lamination. A clear or frosted PVC cover is a separate protective option. See cover finishes and protection. If a colour must match between your cover and your pages, remember that different materials show the same colour slightly differently: cover and interior colour matching.
Examples: an A5 daily planner with 200 printed pages on 80gsm paper, or a 120-page A5 journal on 120gsm paper. If your interior is blank or black and white only, choose the black-and-white printing option when it is shown, because it costs less than full colour. Every custom notebook is wire-bound. The wire lets the notebook lie flat and the pages turn through 360 degrees. The wire is permanent and cannot be reused once removed.

Orders are processed after payment and shipped by courier. As a guide, an urgent order of around 50 notebooks may be processed on the same day, and larger quantities (even 100 notebooks) can sometimes be arranged. The number is an example, not a fixed limit or a guarantee. Same-day dispatch needs a production-ready PDF and a finish that does not take extra time.
At checkout, look for Expedited Processing under the shipping methods. Your cart shows the actual lead time and, where possible, offers same-day dispatch for urgent orders. Upload one complete PDF per notebook design with all pages in the exact order they must print. Canva share links, Word files, images and split PDFs are not accepted for this service.
