📐 Size, board and finish

Size: 50 × 140 mm is the standard format. Design at the final size, because resizing a flyer or business-card layout into the narrow shape can shrink text, margins and QR codes. See bookmark sizes and common uses.

Board: 750gsm glossy board is far more rigid and substantial than the 250 to 350gsm cardstock many people use for DIY bookmarks. It feels like a durable gift or retail product. Lighter cardstock can suit economical inserts or home printers, but it is not what we use. See 750gsm board vs lighter cardstock.

Finish: the standard bookmark is printed on glossy board, which lifts colour and contrast and suits photographs and saturated illustrations. Matte stock and lamination are not automatically selectable on the standard service. Use the options shown on the product page or ask us about a special request before ordering. Note that "glossy board" describes the stock surface, while lamination would be an added protective film. See glossy, matte and laminated finishes.

Tassels, rounded corners and holes

• 🎀 An optional tassel makes the bookmark easy to find and more gift-ready. Keep text and logos clear of the tassel area.
• Rounded corners and separate punched-hole choices are not standard selectable options unless shown on the product page. Ask us before ordering if you need them.

🔁 Single-sided or double-sided?

The bookmark service is priced for double-sided printing, so both faces can work for you. Use one side for the main artwork and the other for a quote, reading tracker, contact details, offer, social handle or QR code. If only one face needs artwork, leave the other intentionally blank instead of assuming production will remove it. See single-sided vs double-sided bookmarks.

Price depends on the material, size, quantity and finishing you choose, so configure the product online to see the exact total. Bookmarks are produced eight per A4 sheet, which lets a school, business or reseller start with a small batch before committing to more. Prices can change, so the product page is always the final word.

• ✅ Build both sides at 50 × 140 mm.
• ✅ Keep text, logos and QR codes inside a safe area, and keep any tassel-hole area clear.
• ✅ Use sharp artwork at final size, or clean vector artwork. Check small text and test a printed QR code.
• ✅ Supply individual PNG or SVG files, one front and one back per design, named clearly, such as bookmark-01-front and bookmark-01-back.
• ✅ Group each pair together and state the quantity for each design.
