How to Prepare Artwork for Notebook Cover-Only Printing

Supply the front and back cover designs together in one print-ready PDF at the selected A5 or A4 size. This product supplies a printed cover pair only.

๐Ÿ“„ Prepare the PDF

  1. Design at the selected finished size.
  2. Place the front and back cover artwork in the PDF as a clearly identified pair.
  3. Keep important text, logos and graphics away from the outer edges.
  4. Allow for roughly 2 to 6 mm of trimming when white borders are removed.
  5. Check colour, image resolution and page orientation before upload.
โš ๏ธ Warning: do not apply the full-notebook page-2 inside-cover rule blindly to this file. A cover-only file is a front and back pair, not a full notebook PDF.

๐Ÿ“˜ Select the physical cover

Choose the listed board (385gsm, 700gsm or 1200gsm), glossy or matte finish, and any available protection such as clear PVC, frosted PVC or cold laminate. The cover-only pair excludes interior pages and wire binding. See cover finishes and protective options.

๐Ÿ•ณ๏ธ Replacement covers

If replacement covers must be punched, request the required 2:1 or 3:1 pitch in Notes. A new wire is needed because the old one cannot be reused. See preparing cover holes and binding.
