Top-Bound vs Side-Bound Custom Notebooks

Standard custom notebooks follow the binding edge in the product configuration. For a notebook bound on the short edge (top-bound) instead of the long edge, add that instruction to the Notebook Printing Service Notes field before adding it to the cart.

Style	How to get it
Side-bound (long edge)	The standard configuration. No instruction needed.
Top-bound notebook (short edge)	Write the instruction in the Notes field of the custom notebook page.
Top-bound pad	Order a custom notepad with its wire-bound option. Notepads otherwise default to top gluing.

📐 Prepare your artwork

Binding position is a production instruction, not a request for us to redesign your artwork. Supply the file at the correct finished size and leave safe space around the edge that will be bound. For A5 landscape, see A5 landscape notebooks.

📝 Note: our wire binding is permanent. Check the orientation of your page designs before you order, because we print the PDF as supplied.
