Transparent Backgrounds and Cut Lines for Die-Cut Stickers

Use a transparent-background PNG or an SVG for each loose die-cut sticker design, and do not add your own production cutline.

๐Ÿ”ณ Why the background must be transparent

Transparency shows the intended sticker shape instead of enclosing it in an unwanted white rectangle. Check the exported file over both light and dark backgrounds to find stray pixels or an accidental solid canvas.

โœ‚๏ธ Why you should not add a cutline

We create the contour path when arranging the production sheet. Do not include dashed borders, registration marks, cutter paths or an A4 layout. Machine cut paths use production-specific settings.

โšช Border, bleed and cutline are three different things

ItemWhat it isWho supplies it
White borderAbout 2 to 4 mm of padding that protects the design from normal cutting movementWe add it by default
Borderless bleedA solid outer colour extended about 2 to 4 mm beyond the intended edgeYou, for a borderless result
Machine cutlineThe cutting path for our equipmentWe create it
โš ๏ธ Warning: keep fine details and essential text away from the intended edge, and test QR codes at the actual printed size.
