Valenna prints two things from your own PDF: flat flyers in A5 or A4, and documents in A5, A4 or A3 such as reports, proposals, manuals, assignments and training packs. There is no minimum order, so you can print one test copy or a full campaign. Flyers start from R1.71 each and documents from R0.49 per printed page, with prices depending on size, colour and paper.
This guide shows what each service offers, how to choose paper and colour, how pricing and quantities work, and how to prepare your file.

đŖ Flyer printing
Which size should I choose?
- A5 is the practical choice for street handouts, school notices, event programmes, product promotions and takeaway menus. It has room for a headline, benefits, contact details and a clear call to action.
- A4 suits menus, price lists, schedules, maps and service lists. It is easier to display on a noticeboard and gives photographs more space, but costs more per piece and is less pocket-friendly.
See A5 vs A4 flyers and common uses.
Which paper is best for flyers?
| Paper | Best for |
| Glossy 100gsm | Economical, colourful handouts and photographs |
| Glossy 130gsm | Premium brochures and menus with strong colour and more body |
| Matte 100gsm | Lightweight, low-glare notices and information sheets |
| Matte 120gsm | Programmes, forms and presentations that people may write on |
| Matte 160gsm | Menus, certificates and durable handouts; feels closer to light card |
Choose the stock by how the flyer will be used, not only how it looks on screen. Read glossy vs writable matte flyer paper.
Single-sided, double-sided, flat or folded?
Single-sided flyers keep one message visible. Double-sided flyers add room for directions, menus, price lists or terms without adding sheets. Supply both sides in one file: page 1 is the front and page 2 is the back.
đ
Note: this service prints
flat A5 and A4 sheets. Do not design a tri-fold, Z-fold or gate-fold piece, and do not include fold marks or custom cut paths. If you need a folded piece, send us a message before ordering so we can assess it separately. Standard paper flyers are for indoor or short-term use and are not waterproof. See
single-sided, double-sided, flat and folded flyers.
What decides the flyer price?
- A5 or A4: A4 uses more paper and print coverage.
- Black and white or full colour.
- Single or double-sided printing.
- Paper weight and finish: heavier and coated stocks cost more.
- Quantity: larger runs normally reduce the unit cost.
đ Document printing
Document printing turns a finished PDF into consistent reports, proposals, manuals, assignments, policies and training packs, without relying on an office printer.
- A4 is the default for reports, contracts, assignments and office packs.
- A5 suits manuals, handbooks, programmes and compact training handouts. Check that body text and tables stay readable at the smaller size.
- A3 suits plans, charts, schedules and large tables. Confirm orientation and image resolution at the larger size.
See A3, A4 and A5 document printing options.
Black and white or colour? 80gsm or 120gsm?
| Choice | Best for |
| Black and white | Text-heavy manuals, drafts and bulk educational material |
| Full colour | Charts, photographs, warnings, branding or colour coding that would lose meaning in greyscale |
| 80gsm paper | Bulk reports and everyday copies; keeps high page counts lighter and cheaper |
| 120gsm matte paper | Proposals and client presentations; more substantial, less show-through and writable |

How does quantity work?
â ī¸ Warning: the document price is per printed page, so the cart quantity must equal your total printed pages. A 30-page PDF is 30 printed pages. For several copies, multiply: 5 copies of a 30-page document is 150 printed pages. Remove accidental blank pages first, because we do not add, remove, duplicate or rearrange pages.

đ¨ī¸ Preparing your print-ready PDF
For flyers
- â
Build at the exact A5 or A4 finished size and export one PDF. For two sides, page 1 is the front and page 2 the back.
- â
Use 300 DPI images and CMYK colour where possible. Embed or outline fonts.
- â
Extend edge-to-edge backgrounds 3 mm beyond the finished size, and keep logos, QR codes, phone numbers and essential text at least 3 mm inside the edge.
- â
Check spelling, dates, phone numbers and QR codes, then open the exported PDF and confirm the page size and orientation of both sides.
See how to prepare a print-ready flyer PDF.
For documents
- â
Set the source document to the finished page size before layout, then export one final PDF. Changing size at print time reflows text and breaks page references.
- â
Keep headers, footers, page numbers and text inside readable margins. Add extra inner margin if the document will be bound.
- â
Embed fonts, remove comments and tracked changes, and check portrait and landscape pages and pagination.
- â
Export to PDF from Word or PowerPoint first; the upload field takes PDF.
See how to prepare a document PDF. For oversized files or several designs, use the shareable-link route stated in the product Notes field.
âąī¸ How long does it take?
Production-ready orders are processed quickly. At checkout, look for Expedited Processing under the shipping methods for urgent jobs; it moves eligible orders through the production queue faster and is separate from courier delivery time. See shipping fees and delivery times and planning around a deadline.
